RADIO TELEPHONY RESTRICTED

Radio Telephony Restricted is a Communication system operated between a Flight Crew member and an Air Traffic Controller and/or Ground Station. This communication system is very critical for the safe operation of the any flight.

In 1952, India Created Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) through the Ministry of Telecommunication-Government of India. WPC conducts the examination to issue the RTR(A) license

The RTR(A) license holder is responsible and authorized for Operating All radio frequencies and radio equipment on board an aircraft. This license is mandatory for aviation professionals interested in working as a Pilot, AMEs, ATCs, and Flight dispatchers in India as per DGCA regulations.

Post-completion of the course at PTC, the student will be in a position to attempt the RTR(A) Examination

The exams are conducted once every two months, and held as per the schedule of WPC at only one center among:

Delhi

Mumbai

Chennai

Kolkata

Hyderabad.

Eligibility:

  • SVG Icon Age: 18 and above
  • SVG Icon Qualification: 12th and above

The RTR (A) exam consists of the following two parts.

Part 1: Practical Radio Transmission -25 mins

Part 2: Oral Exam (VIVA) in
